Velvety petals to wrap around me
She blossomed with smiles
Often, dew drops delayed her vision
Yet, in all colors, beauty surrounded
She was a sweetheart rose, a tea rose
In warm climes, grew abundant
With harsh winds, withered.
Winter came
The rose crumbled
Yet beauty remains...
pressed in my book of memory.
One month from today, my 'rose', my mom would have been 95
