SUNDAY'S SNIPPET
Sunday's snippets is my original idea to share something a bit 'out of the ordinary'...yet, newsy without being of crimes, wars, hate and such that the media tends to over saturate the papers/tv/internet. I wanted Sunday to be a bit 'peaceful' and enjoyable with meaningless stature or perhaps something of an intersting-helpful value!!
Today's topic is health. Associated with Cranberries!
Tho, a lot of research is an unexact science, and some 'findings' are not quite up to status quo on proven fact, more or less speculations, I found this quite interesting and will do some 'testing' myself. Not really---but I will consume more of the tart, bittersweet fruit! (I love to have dried cranberries in the car with me at all times), and when I need a snack, they're there, and much more healthy than candy or soda drinks!!
The ariticle itself states that consumption of cranberries may improve the cholesterol in your system by lowering the bad cholesterol - LDL and increase levels of the good - HDL! They also may prevent tumors from growing rapidly OR beginning at all. Extracts from the cranberry prevents breast cancer cells when tested in test tubes, but has yet to be experimented with on humans. Also, cranberries will prevent plaque forming on teeth and kills bacteria that will cause stomach cancer and ulcers. And of course already known to health avids, we know that drinking the juice of a cranberry will preven urinary infections.
The clip also goes on about research of the cranberry and effects of heart disease, yeast infections, stroke and viral infections!
DRINK Up, me mateys!!! Yo Ho!!!

Hubby buys me lunch!!! The bet we had for yesterday was
(any deer decoration photo of a red-nosed reindeer[the red nose to be exact], Rudolph-style, but not clipart, like the kind you see in the malls that are animated --usually in shop windows or around Santa's Shack--where kids can sit on his lap and have photos taken? --Ya, that kinda photo of a red nosed reindeer)for the Photo Hunt!
He said it'd show up on the blogroll before noon, and I was to check each and every ONE of the sites on the blogroll. We didn't find him!!! Let's see.........hmmm, where do I choose to eat tomorrow? Dunno where just yet, but I do know it'll be seafood!! Hey! HE'S buying! *giggles* Oh, and I wish to thank each and everyone who DID NOT think of finding Rudolph and sharing with us yesterday on the blog hunt!!

Yippee...Enjoy lunch! Sure wished I could join you since I have been craving lobster lately. lol
Cranberries are good for you unless like little Ashley that I go to help on Tuesday (she is 2)...she took a dried one and stuffed it up her nose this past Tuesday!! Then they are not too good for you. I go on Tuesdays and watch her and her 3 little siblings. Mommy had to take her to the doctor and they could not get it out. Finally she did swallow it!! What 2 year olds will do when they discover their"holes" smile!! Have a great Sunday..Sandy
Ohhhhhh YAY! Nope - I didn't see a single red nose on my travels yesterday either! Not a one! Silly Bud! ENJOY LUNCH!!! Lobster? Crab Imperial? ... shoot ... you'll probly just make him buy you WHATABURGERS! LOL!
It is fortunate for ME that the benefits found in cranberries can also be found ELSEwhere in the world! That is one little fruit that I just do not like at all... and never have! (now I've never tried dried ones... maybe I should... but I don't like fresh ones - and I don't even like cranberry sauce or cranberry juice!)
LOL, Rudolph is sooo cute but I am glade he didn't show up yesterday, enjoy your lunch!
Cranberry jam- Swedish style - is my son's favorite to go with the German potato salad his father likes to make, I don't really care for cranberries, though... Interesting snippet!
Happy sunday!
I love cranberries - especially the dried ones - I eat it like candy :)...
Glad that you are invited to lunch and you are not the one who has to pay...
Blessings on your Sunday.
Yeah for you! Congrats. I came back by today just to see who was buying lunch.
Rudolph reminds me of those stopmotion animations from my childhood. Very very cute. I'm glad it worked.
Hey Wystful,
Nope - I'm still here alive and kicking...just busy from all the open houses we've been having...LOL...hope we get a nibble soon...I love cranberries! I try to use them in everything I make. I know they are very good for you too...
Interesting post...and hey, Melli! I like Whataburgers! We don't have them up here in PA., so whenever we're in the South, we always go at least once...LOL...
Anyway, hope you had an enjoyable lunch...
Blessings always,
Carol
I am a little bit late checking up on this but congratulations on winning your little wager. You know I have not seen that all that often so I am not surprised it was hard to find. I so would have posted it if I had it.
For next week I say you should post a picture like he expected to see. After all he lost so that would be anoying to him, wouldn't it?
I love cranberries in most any form. I even have a pumpking cranberry bread that is always a hit with everyone. Yum for the cranberries.
