MY PARADE ENTRY
My favorites are my santas! I'm a proud owner of over 200 santas...all shapes, all sizes!!
It all started about 40 years ago. Hubby, for our very first Christmas together bought me a couple of Old World Santas, made from decoupage that I was admiring in a store window one evening near the holidays. We loved to window shop when the 'old town square' had the buildings and shops decorated! Carolers would be all gathered on corners, the spirit of Christmas was for the present, and those yet to come!! Well, come Christmas morning was I surprised to find 'em both under the tree!! The two santas below, are the beginning of a grand relationship with the little ol' lively elf!!! And I knew in a moment, I'd cherish them so----
Then, over the years friends and family have given me more. I love each and every ONE of them equally. I have Santa cups, long stemmed glassware -that the 'stem' is Santas legs and boots...the glass itself is crystal clear but shaped like his bag of toys, an antique "Night Before Christmas Book", animated santas, wreaths with Santa, even tree lights in the shape of santa's head! You name it, I have it. Well, over 200. This one was bought last year at the beginning of the season---the proportions would be equal to 1/4 human size. It's big. And beautiful!!

Don't miss the virtual Blogs' Holiday Parade!! Won't you join? It'll be like a drive through the neighborhood with all the 'ooooooooo's and ahhhhhhhhhh's' of the beauty of the season!! Link above, on the top righthand corner...just click and join the fun!!

What a wonderful idea for Xmas! And, oh, Santas! lovely collection! do you display them somewhere or are they placed away when the holidays are over? because they are soooo many and the last one is a big one, too! very nice entry for this parade, Wystful! off to see what my entry can be!
Happy Holidays, mar! To answer your question, I pack them away after the holidays. In AZ we had a custom made shelf unit that would surround the living room on it's walls...and it was collapsible...that too could be put away for the season. But here in TX I place them all over the house...in different rooms. I couldn't possibly leave 'em out year 'round. And yet, I like the idea 'cause come each week after Thanksgiving, I get to unpack them all ---it's like Christmas morning for me all over again!
They look like real collector santas. unusual ones. Lovely.
This was an excellent idea, I might join the parade later on!
This is a great idea!
Here is my little Christmas Village...enjoy!

Such a shame to only enjoy them once a year! But, I guess that makes them all the more special! Beautiful!
The Santas are gorgeous! I would love to start collecting them!
