IN THE NEWS: Tom Cruise has been 'dumped' by Paramount Pictures!!
" Paramount Pictures has ended its 14-year relationship with Tom Cruise because of his off-screen antics.
"As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew the deal. His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount," said Sumner Redstone, chairman of Paramount's parent company Viacom Inc."
Wystful 1 says: "Ahhhhh, I've enjoyed some of his movies, but I do say that these days he's been quite strange! (at least according to media/press) But there again, live an let live! ---Tho, I also understand that his 'box office intake' hasn't been very good, hence, the dumping. It's all about money ya know, in the entertainment business!! I do recall reading years ago that most celebrities' contracts with large motion picture companies had a 'moral clause' in the contracts upon signing on....don't know if that holds true these days or not. Thanks for the memories."

Your list is great...I must have missed it on the news. (I guess I just don't watch enough TV...ugh)
As far as Tom Cruise goes, I've had a problem with him since the day he left his wife. I never could figure that one out, I mean Nicole Kidman seems just so sweet!
Wow, am I an antique! Love the list they do about college freshmen.
Wystful 1 says: I know just what you're saying Lazy Daisy!! I'm up on the top shelf in the antique department!!
I'm only 44, but that makes me feel over the hill. I have to admit, though, that I really like #10;-) It will be really interesting to see what that list says when my 8 year old goes to college! Things seem to change so quickly these days. Thanks for sharing...I only heard a bit of it yesterday.
It's scary that they don't know about the USSR. They can hardly understand our history if they don't. But I realized that one day when I googled the term.
Thanks for visiting my TT.
Once I was showing my oldest grandson pictures of an Apollo capsule in the ocean, and explaining that that was how we brought the astronauts back to earth. He looked at me, astonished, and said "Why didn't you just use the shuttle?!" Yes, it changes so fast that we don't even realize what a different frame of reference the younger generation has.
Boy, does that make me feel old.
Well I finally got my blog done for today. I had my two grandchildren this morning and then got busy but it is finally up and going. I am feeling some better today and will continue to do better. Thanks for that list and the news about Mr. Cruise!! smile. i wondered when his ANTICS...would get into his movies...Hm!! He did it to himself I would say!!
Thanks Wystful for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog. I am trying to get myself back up on my feet and the only way I know to do that is to find my faith and trust in my Lord. Hello Wystful ~~ Great list - the world sure has changed, some ways for the better and some ways for the worse
I think a lot of people have gone off
Tom Cruise. Apart from our Nicole, he left a former wife. Thanks for your
comments, and I am so glad you enjoy my posts. Take care, Cheers, Merle.
Hi, I am back...Talked to my hubby about T. Cruise...Hubby said that the image issue might be because of the Ophrah issue that is all over the internet. Since I don't watch much TV, I am not sure what had happened...Just a thought I wanted to share.
Oopps I came by too early... I will check back in later today :)
have a great Saturday!
