I'm just about finished with another afghan. All I have yet to do before completion is knots! TONS o' KNOTS! rofl.
The pattern is from an old pattern magazine and it's entitled "Scraps of Beauty". With small flowerette to separate the larger ones, done in black -- with black picot stitch around the entire edges! Here's the almost finished project.

OF COURSE...I crochet too!! Wouldn't you know it of course!! I have not done much lately because I have been into scrapbooking and now I am making invitations for our neighborbood get together for our ladies here. I am making invitations for our party. Our theme is black and white movies. My neighbor and I (her name is Tootsie..really)have been trying for over a year now to get the ladies of our neighborhood to get to know each other. We started with a tea which was a success and have had several parties since then. I have about 17 more invitations to make. WOW!! BUSY lady.
Your afghan is gorgeous!!
Sandy
Thanks for the advice. I knew how to do that but how to put it on your site????
from Wystful 1: Oh, now I understand...well, I think it's meant to be added to YOUR blog by copying from mine and then pasting to yours, like a meme. Your neighborhood parties sound fantastic. Hmmmm, Tootsie, huh? LOL
LOL! It's WILD and CRAZY! And beautiful!!! I made one (not like that) just that colorful - a granny square. Gosh, I made that thing back when I was a TEENAGER... I wonder what ever happend to it... It was based on black too... I'd forgotten all about that afghan! I wonder if someone in my family still has it... hm. Well anyway... yours is GORGEOUS! That looks like a heck of a stitch! I don't think I've ever done anything that complicated. About the fanciest thing I've ever done was a "shell" -- I'm not too daring with my crochet, huh? NICE JOB!
from Wystful 1: Thanks Melli. The shell stitch is pretty too!
So pretty, I love the colors!
from Wystful 1: Thanks P J.
That is beautiful. I love the bright colors.
My mom crochets. She's made everyone in the family and afghan, and her baby blankets are almost expected when someone she knows is pregnant.
I have the ability, but lack the patience. I can finish a decent looking scarf, or a potholder, but I can't get all the way through an afghan. :)
from Wystful 1: Thanks Alissa!
O WOW!!! Thats really very beautiful! I love the colors that are in it, BEAUTIFUL job! :o) Thank you so much for your comments on my blog! I appreciate it so much!! Thank you so much for all of your encouragement & support, it means more to me than you'll ever know! Thank you for being my friend as well! Take care! :o) I love this afghan! It's soooo beautiful!
from Wystful 1: Oh Jon, your work is astounding!! My hubby loves it too. He especially liked your Pee Wee Herman this morning!!

have a great week!
from Wystful 1: Thanks jel. I'm glad you like it.
Wow! That is really beautiful!!
I tried crocheting once, but it didn't take.
from Wystful 1: Thank you kindly Tracie!
This is absolutely beautiful!!! I used to crochet but haven't for quite some time. Did you take that picture using a mirror?
Just wonderful!
from Wystful 1: Hi Moogie!! Thanks...no, it isn't taken by using a mirror. That's only a usual digital pic and I framed it.
WOW! That is beautiful. The colours are so vibrant! How long did that take?
Hope your Sunday and the knotting is going well.
Rena
from Wystful 1: Hi Rena! This one took me about 3 months to finish to where I'm at with it now. Still have knots to do...didn't do any yesterday as I'd hoped.
Gosh, this looks REALLY great! It looks like its taken a lot of hard work. I can't wait to see the finished product after the knotting!
from Wystful 1: Thanks Pink C. Princess
BEAUTIFUL!!! I love all the bright colors. I haven't crocheted anything in a while. I always find it relaxing to do. I came to find the TV quiz .... LOL ... got distracted with your afghan. :)
Happy Sunday!
from Wystful 1: Well, no, I'm sure you haven't! What with your job now and quilting. That would take up my life if it were me! LOL
What beautiful colors it has!! My mom made one for me when I was 2 or 3, but it was brown and fuschia. I think she got the yarn on sale....LOL
from Wystful 1: LOL....that's funny. But I bet it was warm and wuzzy tho!
Very nice! I wish I could do stuff like that. I learned to knit once, but could never take a piece off myself! Have since long forgotten any of it.
from Wystful 1: See? I never got the hang of knitting. LOL
HI Wystful

from Wystful 1: Thanks!!
Looks really beautiful. I used to crochet and made afghans and doilies but I haven't done it in years. Something for when I retire, whenever that will be. LOL!
from Wystful 1: Yes, definitely something for retirement. Honestly, it keeps you from going mad when you find nothing else to do for an hour or two. Thanks ICL!!
