I was visiting our Saturday Photo Participants early in the morning, and always wanting to drop by Carol's. Way back, when I began blogrolling, her "Turning Point" intrigued me. And she captures a lot of diversified and interesting thoughts which makes it a great place to spend a few minutes from time to time, as I catch up on her life's twists and turns, reading her thoughts and emotions.
On this particular day tho, she didn't have her Saturday Photo posted at the time I happened to drop by, so, I began perusing her most recent entry in her blog on this fine Saturday, I started to read....
Well, it just kept my interest from the begining sentence. As I continued further and further; her concept of blogging and some blogger "friends"--it got me wondering the same thing she was thinking. Tho to be honest, before I read this, I never even gave it a thought--
The question she put forth regarding bloggers: "I don't know why we're all out here. I wonder why anyone would care about how my life is running, how at times I'm nervous about things that are yet to happen to me." That's a deep, profound question. Why ARE we so interested? Someday maybe I'll share my thoughts on this subject.
But, the reason I'm blogging about Carol's "Turning Point", she had a very clever idea. I don't know if this has been around the blogland before, as most days I only have a limited amount of time to view blogs. If it has, I've never witnessed this idea until Saturday. And I think it's an absolutely wonderful idea. She's titled the entry, 'BLOGGER FIELD TRIP'. Carol has gone through some of her most enjoyable experiences visiting other blogs and listed them as a field trip for others to follow along! I think that's just a super idea. And I'm gonna do it also. Beginning, in a day or two. I'll have to compose my list as I find exceptional blogs and get a good review written as I go---but, now wait, don't leave yet.
Her field trip consists of some awesome blogs...an Air Force avionics specialist, a retired sailor who is now a field service engineer, a U S Marine (my heartfelt favorite military branch) who is a combat artist along with a link to his personal art blog also--a true find!!, a lady who is a military spouse-Greta, an artist who does wonderful sketches (I visited them all on her field trip Saturday morning), --------oops, there's a familiar name!!! As I read deeper into her entry, I was in total SHOCK....she had me listed on her field trip. And her comment just made me beam with joy to know that someone would think that my blog was worthy of mention! I melted. I stammered. I actually found myself rubbing my eyes to make sure this wasn't an illusion. I must stop now and thank you in this blog entry, Carol! You made my day fill with sunshine and a warm heart. (pssssssssst, I love being called a sassy Texan! *giggles*)
Anywhoooooo, I will promise myself to do a field trip of my own soon. It's a wonderful idea. Your field trip provided me with more insight of other's lives and interests and thoughts. WTG!
Thanks again Carol.

LOL! I had read Carol's post yesterday too -- and had actually meant to tell you about it. I guess I got busy with other things and forgot. I'm glad - cuz you found it on your own, and that makes it even BETTER! She does take us on a delightful 'field trip' -- and I look forward to yours! I know you will have some fascinating places too!
Hi. I missed you! Was out of town for a couple of days but am all caught up now! You are so right on how young people manage to live these days.
And the photos are lovely. That one of your daughter and the horse is a "framer". We also were on Yelapa but there was no way I was holding an iguana.
And the blog field trip?? Great idea! I'll pop over to her blog after my visit here.
So, hope your weekend is going well.
Blessings to you.
i look forward to going on your field trip.
As we used to yell in school "FIELD TRIP!"
