...as with a previous post I did on Sunday, I felt compelled to share some memorable and interesting, yet fun blogs I've visited in the past and found myself making a new bookmark folder for BLOG FAVORITES (not all are with blogspot.com either, and most are not included in the usual blogrolling members). Again, my gratitude goes out to Carol for instigating the idea for me, and having "....thanks for the memories" on her field trip!! Other than the blog friends I have listed on my sidebar - note: each of those found on my sidebar are wonderful also, I find a lot in my blog favorites folder. I will randomly chose a few here to add and make up my own BLOGGING FIELD TRIP. My personal preference when visiting a blog should be filled with either humor(my favorite) or art, or even life in general, if it's tastefully done--I do so enjoy photographs of their lives--it makes blog-hopping very enjoyable. A diversity of things...not just ones who are so self-indulged that they say "I did this...I don't do that..." -This attitude isn't for me in the least. I realize a blog is for that particular person's ideals, but I rarely find myself returning if it's too self-favored. I'm inclined to return to those with political views sometimes also. Their blogging tends to make me wanna shout out to them in their comments favorably or negatively too-it depends...but I refrain. I hope others will join in on the fun and share some of their own favorite spots to stop along the way. If you do, please leave me a comment so I can hop on my blog bus and travel to your favorites you've shared.
My first stop is: TEXAS TRIFLES. Here, Cowtown Pattie shares a lot of Texan humor, her own views, along with an ecclectic flavor of interests from flowers, crafts and a bit of hysterical thoughts on historical events.
The 2nd stop on the way is: MAYA'S GRANNY. Granny shares her life with us. A very pleasant blog, with her personal wisdom and thoughts; gracefully I might add. A beautiful family portrait along with a down to earth atmosphere that makes it a pleasant visit.
Third stop on the map is: SNAPPY'S GARDEN. David, from Yorkshire England, has an entire array of his accomplishments in gardening. Along with very lovely photos of flowers that just take my breath away. Photography at its finest. I always enjoy a fine display of beauty with nature, and this is a good spot to visit, especially when life becomes a bit gray and I need some color to perk me up!!
oh, oh, I see some of you need to pull off at the rest area. Already? Okay...we'll take the next exit. You have five minutes, then back on the bus folks!! And down the path of blogland once again---
--five minutes pass while you're all out doing your business and I sit in the bus waiting while jiving to Aeorsmith on my CD headgear. Oops, y'all caught me!!
Everybody aboard? Good!
Now the fourth stop isn't with blogspot.com, but it's one I check out weekly, almost daily sometimes, depending on my mood. But it's a treasure for someone that loves to do some projects or get ideas for the future events coming up in life. But you must be warned, there IS work involved. So, pull out your aprons and get your glue guns heated up!! The one I'm gonna stop at now is called FAMILY FUN. Many many ideas/projects for well.......family fun! All done with videos to watch the progression of the projects right to the finishing touches.
Number five on my list of stops is: SPARKS ART. This one is amazing. I love to draw myself- well not as in self portraits, but me!! I like to draw. That's what I should have said in the first place, to avoid confusion. I like to draw! Period! And paint. I love the whole concept. Most times, when I take time to paint or sketch I find myself so relaxed and calm. And the same feeling comes over me when I view someone's wonderful, artful blogs such as this one. John, from California, has great talents. He shows his accomplishments by blogging in steps! His work is shown in progress -- to the finished piece. If you like this concept, check out his archives also. You won't be disappointed.
For the crocheter in me, I always find some time once in a while to delve into this blog! I go to most of the links shared after viewing what is new on the posted side, and check out what can be made, or the finished products and how difficult they are or how simple to do---patterns are shared sometimes also. It's just a personal favorite of mine, and I thought maybe there were some out there that might like it too. The owner of the blog is from Australia. Stop number 6 on the field trip is: KAWANO'S CROCHETING ADVENTURES.
The next one, stop number 7 is: The KEPT WOMAN. Why? I just enjoy visiting. It's humorous for me, mainly 'cause I remember the days of raising little ones. Oftentimes she uses conversation to make up a blog entry. Where I find myself literally LOL!!
Last but not least. This is a newer blog that I just came across recently. CALL ME GRANDMA DAWN. Dawn's blog promises to be one I will continue to find myself returning for visits. Oh, and the fact she lives in the foothills of Colorado? Does that have anything to do with my interst? Not on your life! Well, *giggles*, maybe just a tad bit ya think? Not that I'm a Coloradoan by heart and home since I lived there for most of my childhood and adult life!!! *snort* Anyway, I find so far a very down to home atmosphere here at "Granny's" place, along with some excellent reading reviews and spiritual air to it.
HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE FIELD TRIP! COME BY AGAIN WITH YOUR LIST AND DIRECTIONS IF YOU SHARE ONE!!
See ya soon!
*pulling back up into the enclosed bus lot*

I was on my way to visit you when I found your second comment - thanks for putting me on your field trip! What an honor. One of the reasons I entered blogland with fear and trembling was just the very thing that has happened - I'm hooked and I spend way too much time on it. I wish I had time to read everyone every day. I have a huge list of favorites, and now you're there! I want to read back and find out more about you. My husband thinks I'm crazy!
Colorado is wonderful - too hot this year and getting crowded, but still a great place to live. Come visit!
I'll definitely be keeping in touch and hoping you stop back by. How did you find me?
Back again - I'm so glad to find someone else who walks and reads!
Hi Dawn!! To tell you the truth, I read one of your comments you left on someone else's blog and your response was so interesting and agreeable, I found myself clicking!!
And of course when I saw you were living in Colorado, we had a 'bond' right away. LOL

That's one of the best field trips I've been on. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting every stop. While visiting Texas Trifles, I was led to Dew on the Kudzu which is wonderful.
You make a teriffic tour guide. Let me know when the next field trip is planned.
