I found a wonderful, inciteful list over at On Broken Wings, and tho it may not be something that was intended to be done on a personal perspective, I so enjoyed it, that I wanted to do one for myself.
My Alphabet for Happiness:
A - ALLOW room to grow. If I don't life will become stagnant.
B - BEWARE of unjustified prejudices, they will do more harm than good.
C - CREATIVITY and CREATIONS will always bring joy, sometimes laughter, perhaps frustrations, but life is full of wonderous creations and I am there to drink in the beauty of it.
D - DETERMINE what is important to me and stick by it. Don't be swayed by others' opinions and thoughts...stand by my determination to strive while others may leave me behind.
E - EXPLAIN to myself why I am within my own realm of mind. Be proud of myself as a being and then I will find I never have to to others.
F - FIND a way. No matter what, who, why or where, there is a way, and it can be found!!
G - GIVE much without expecting anything in return. Once I give, smiles and friendships and family priorities of long-lasting value is my own to keep.
H - HEALTH is all important for happiness. Take care of my body and keep it healthy. Work on my mind and keep it healthy and happiness is found in all life's crevises.
I - INHERIT what was given to me the day I was were born. Yes, my heritage can bring joy in me to know where I came from and what I can still become. Don't give up my background if it isn't ideal....work and accomplish my birth rights as human.
J - JOKE and laugh. Rough times only become difficult if I allow it, to laugh hardy will put aside troubles and help happiness abound.
K - KNOWLEDGE of my inner being and my inner thoughts can help release what my inner soul is.
L - LIKE myself and others will see me differently. Like others and I'll see them in a difference that only I know will bring happy thoughts without negative images.
M - MANIPULATE a positive attitude, refrain from being gloomy. Enjoy the bright side of everything.
N - NOTE things around me that I enjoy most. Ignore seeing the unbalance of my life if only for a short time...while focusing on the balance of good.
O - ONLY I CAN bring my happy, joyful feelings!! What I perceive in the positive will be ONLY through my emotions and thoughts.
P - PAINT a positive image of my life. The beautiful colors and vividness of details always astound me.
Q - QUICKNESS Do not allow quickness of judging to pull me to the negative side. Take a quick look at my surroundings and see there is beauty and happy things.
R - ROSES Yes, roses. It was once said that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. I stop and 'smell' the roses of life and see good things outweigh the bad. And that 'fragrance of good things' is just as sweet as a rose.
S - SMILE Smiles are always more exhilarating than frowns or tears.
T - TALK Always talk, get things out in the open. Talk without force, get my feelings released. If no one knows me, I'm not ashamed or embarassed to talk!
U - UNWIND Yes, I take time for myself. I find that in a day there is a moment I sit down and take all of the hours of the past where it's now ideal to rest.
W - WEIGH the good, put value in good and the price will be high and value of good is priceless.
X - X AMPLE (x is always a dilemma) But I use this an X AMPLE to continue to strive for happiness. It's something that I can't just find, it takes work and time...tho more often than not it can be effortless.
Y - YOUTH is good, if only in the mind. I see myself youthful in many thoughts and it brings to me the list above. Be young and heart and my body will follow.
Z - Zzzzzzzzzzz, I need my Zzzzzzzzzz's to recoup and readjust everthing in my life. Without them there would BE NO happiness.
