One of my hobbies (I like the hobby very much if it turns out the way it's supposed to turn out) is crocheting. This afghan is my latest finished project which I completed late last night. I've been re-doing my room in wines, forest greens and blues. This afghan is called victorian pineapple. It has seven columns of six pineapples each. Done in forest green, true navy, plum wine and ecru. It took me months to do, and I was just about to trash the whole project -- then, the stitch finally came true, and wow--it's beautiful with the colors, and it will cover a king-sized bed. Yay!!! Wow! That's gorgeous!!! Where did you get that pattern? I crochet, too. I'd love to try that one.
I usually make ripple blankets because they are easy and I can do them in the car without thinking. :-)
I am making a shawl at the moment. LLB has already claimed it as her own. I guess I'll have to make another one for myself...
ladybug: The pattern is from a very old magazine (one of my mother's). I just now tried to scan it for you, but it's hardly visible with the aged paper. Perhaps you could find one in an used book store or maybe a back order if the magazine still exists. The magazine is entitled: Crochet Victorian...published in the 1950's) And the pattern is called victorian pineapple. Sorry, I wish I could help you with finding it.
I am impressed, this is wonderful! you are really an artist!
Simply Gorgeous! What a beautiful job you did! Gosh, I haven't crocheted or knitted for over 10 years.
